A wild or cultivated flowering shrub of the genus Rosa. The stems are often thorny and the flowers vary in colour. There are approximately 150 species of Rose.

 Roses are used to symbol many things, but mainly love. Roses in general mean love; A white rose, means purity and spiritual love, a yellow rose, symbolises a decrease of love, whilst the cabbage rose represents an ambassador of love. Musk roses, mean beauty, whilst a solitary rose, symbolises simplicity.
